Fundraising Casinos

Whenever possible the cost of the casino should be covered by the ticket money, so all money raised by the tables goes to the relevant cause. However, if this is not possible you are allowed by law to deduct legitimate expenses from the money raised, with profits going to charity.

A cash desk can be set up in the gaming area where real money is exchanged for ‘Fun Money’ usually at a favourable rate e.g. £5 real money for £20 of ‘Fun Money’, and then £10 for £50 ‘Fun Money’ to encourage people to spend more. It is important to explain to players that no chips can be redeemed for cash and that they are playing for prizes only. Usually the client provides volunteers to man the cash desk, but should this not be possible let us know and we can provide extra staff

We are also happy to circulate around the guests during dinner to sell ‘Fun Money’. We have found this the most effective way of promoting the casino and, depending on numbers almost guarantees that you will cover the cost of the casino and raise additional money for your charity.Fun Casinos are unique in that they provide entertainment for your guests whilst raising money.

At the end of play guests return their chips to counted and any number of prizes are awarded to the winners. Prizes are provided by the client and should preferably be donated.

We have a great deal of experience of running fundraising casinos. We run all our charity casinos in accordance with the Gaming Act of 2005. No special licence is required because players do not profit.
